The Urinary system invloves the excretion of urine and uric acid in animals. In humans, urine is produced in the kidneys, but is produced and released differently in many of the different organisms we co-exist with on planet Earth. Not only does the Urinary system release urinary waste, but is also responsible for the balance of salt and water content in different organisms. The purpose of this website is to inform the viewer of the urinary system and the way nine different phylums of animals: Mollusca, Porifera, Cnideria, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Arthropoda, Echinodermata, and Chordata, use the urinary system to their own benefits.
