Portuguese Man of WarThe Portuguese Man of War is composed of a the crest, which is the translucent body, and tentacles that contain venom and can get up to 165 feet long. The mouth of the man of war is on the bottom of the crest, so the man of war uses its mouth for both consumption and excretion. Therefore, it's waste exits through its mouth in a form much more similar to urine than feces because it is nitrogenous. The man of war's crest is filled with gas, which is regulated by natural diffusion, and in cases of emergency, it can release gas and sink beneath the water's surface.
